St. Luke UMC collects 212 pairs of shoes for charity during ‘Barefootin’ Sunday event
During the St. Luke United Methodist Church’s “Barefootin’ Sunday” event on Sunday, 140 pairs of new and gently-used shoes were collected to be distributed to those in need. In addition, some shoes were found outside the door on Sunday morning, and others were received throughout the week before the event, bringing the grand total to 212 pairs.
