its a conspiracy man…. the nightingales dont want olaf to be a noble-man, and now with his contemporary self sufficient state, and lots of money he is seen as a powerful man in skyrim and the nightingales have sent a secret agent into his home to keep tabs on him, and try to manipulate his executive decisions as much as possible, and if necessary they will take out Olaf the simple man. the nightingales control skyrim from behind closed doors.
Olaf should have adopted the kid from Windhelm that gets you into the Dark Brotherhood.
