The iron is spitting and leaking:
First, try out the water you use. DO NOT USE DISTILLED WATER. We recommend using tap water (up to 12 grains of hardness per gallon) or bottled spring water. If you chat water, it may take several uses before your iron adjusts to the new mixture and the issue is corrected.
too full and not at a hot enough temp for steam use
You don’t use steam for all.
The best iron that you want that steams wonderfully and doesn’t leak is call Shark. You can buy it at Walmart. I bought one two months ago and now my spouse irons and likes the iron. It glides over the clothes with a lot of steam coming out. It does a quick but fantastic job.
I also had a Black and Decker but it didn’t do the job. Try the Shark you will like it!
