@maxie1133 That is so awesome! Im always pleased to hear young women like yourself, are learning and enjoying this artform. With such an early start you will be a super incredible crocheter in no time! Have you tried to teach any of your friends to crochet? When I was younger like you, I had a crochet sleep over party. We made hot chocolate and rice krispy treats, then we all sat down and crocheted. My mom and I taught everyone the basics that night, and most of my friends from then still crochet now

@mwobith It is a standard size kitchen hand towel that you can buy from any local department store. It does not have to be extra long. 30 inches / 77 centimeters.

  • mwobith:

Can you tell me the approximate measurements of the towel? Since you are folding it in half, does it need to be extra long?

You have such a calming voice that makes this video so simple to watch : )

@thegrovecafe You are welcome. You can do half or the whole towel.

  • thegrovecafe:

Thank you, thank you, thank you. You clarified this enough and made it so simple that I was able to make one. I had already started with directions from a webpage I read, so I started with a half towel instead of the whole towel, but you made it simple enough that I just integrated your directions into everywhere the others left off. Worked fantastic. Thanks again.

Thank you for posting this!!! I already have concluded 6 of them. I was so surprised on how simple they were to do. I just learned how to crochet last month and just having a blast with new thoughts. Your videos are awesome.

    Thank you.

What a nice video. My grandma does these and I’ve always wondered how she did it!

  • crochetboxdotcom:

Thank you very much. Folding seems better than the way I have been making them. I am going to try it. Thanks again.

  • tjw1963:

I did not cut the towel in half. It is a standard kitchen towel folded in half. Time code: 36 seconds shows how I attach the yarn to the top center. This will work the same way if you prefer cold the towel in half.

  • crochetboxdotcom:

I am not understanding everywhere the hem is. Do you cut a towel in half or do you just fold it? Can you show the back of the towel? The hem? The part? Your how to is brilliant if not. I crochet with thread so maybe I am just a small obtuse when it comes to yarn. I have made a couple of towels but I just sew it on with my sewing machine. Yours looks better if I may possibly see everywhere you have the hem. Thanks.
